2004 Teesdale, Surrey

Grade II listed single storey private house refurbishment located in Surrey. The house was originally designed by famous British architect Erno Goldfinger in 1967. The main structure consists of a series of gluelam beams at 8 feet centres spanning across the whole width of the building and supported by timber columns externally. The property includes two wings which were originally linked by a narrow corridor. This corridor was demolished shortly after the property was purchased by the current owner, and a standard glazed conservatory was built temporarily while the client was looking for an exclusive design to satisfy his aesthetic needs.

Malishev Wilson Engineers proposed an all-glass structure comprised of glass portal frames supporting the weight of the glass roof and providing stability against the wind load.

Glazing contractor: BGT+FA Firman
